Did you notice?
Is spat in that most detestible manner,
Do you think I noticed?
Your favourite phrase,
Only when your praise, is
Unduely due.
No my dear i did not notice.
Obviously it appears I care not,
That you may have any done
I shall be none that wiser.
Consider thought that you do not look
Enough to notice, well did you?
And within that cheering screen
So full of exaltation, Exclaiming,
"CONGRATULATIONS!
YOU WIN!"
An inexplicable feeling of sorrow
Striking a deep resonant core chord
Resounding on the streets of that drummed in life.
A meaning known to you, and yet, set
aside.
And that same jubilant screen, acknowledging this
Aims to cure that cruel coldness, as it was told
Asking (confident of 'Yes')
"DO YOU WANT TO PLAY AGAIN?"
Blissfully unaware, that, perhaps
One day, you may decide enough is enough
Step out of the screen, of dying pixels
Click the morbid mouse t'wards , 'NO.'
Maybe one day. Maybe.
Anne, why is it so sad?
Anne, where were all the smiles?
Anne, did life really seem so bad?
Anne, why are there so many
Miles between you and me,
Cliched horribly like the sea,
On different levels, places, times
And making bloody poems rhyme.
Anne, was it worth it?
Anne, are you smiling now?
Anne, tell me, did you care for my wit?
Anne, was i wrong to see in
Opposites?
Yet never again.
Broken and crushed.
Fluid in a pen's tears.
Anne, why am I so sad?
Anne, Anne...
Anne, don't tell me any more
I can work it out now, clearer then before!
Anne...it's You.
So I walks right up to her,
So I marches in there, and I says
I says "Ma'am, Sign me up for the
Loveology classes, would ya?"
And that taut receptionist,
Shining her name t'wards me
Kerry asks, she asks " Sir,
Sir did you fill out the form?,
and all the medical information,
That silent grace,
The noble words,
Never mistaken,
Hardly Misheard.
A quiet sadness,
In silence etched.
Drawn though your thoughts
Like a piecing dart,
A simple rhyme for you
Laying Kind meaning, and
Healing hard hearts.
Yet hope one day, peace,
Cooling the emptiness.
Happy at last.
You
